Lady Juliana Butler
Having a keen interest in mental health Juliana Butler started out as a psychiatric nurse. Fascinated by brain and behaviour she then enrolled in a to neuroscience degree course and graduated as a neurobiologist in 1991. Her career to date has been diverse and successful with senior roles across the public, private and charitable sectors. She is non-executive director for NHS24, an active member of the British Psychological Society and British Neuroscience Association with a keen interest in public health. She has a particular interest in working with people who are the most disadvantaged and disengaged from society.
Dot Horne MBE
The majority of her career has been dedicated to working with children and young people she is the Director of an innovative Edinburgh Youth Charity working with young people from all walks of life.
Dot is also now a resident of Newtongrange and an active Community Volunteer in the Village she is supporting Track2Train as she states “it is an exciting initiative to be supporting. It is developing employment opportunities for people, as well as adding a quality facility to contribute to Village economy and for the general public to enjoy.
He is an expert and trusted advisor to private and public-sector businesses on all things careers, training, personal development and HR and an active Member of the CIPD, Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality.
Up to summer 2017 he was running his own coaching and recruitment business where the focus was on delivering practical advice and services in a practical and cost-effective way.
Prior to that Rob spent his time working in the UK and Middle East in operational hospitality, tourism and training roles.
Rob has lived and worked in the Edinburgh area for the last 22 years and enjoys most sports and getting walked! by his two Border collies on the beaches of East Lothian.
Michael is a graduate in Law from The University of Edinburgh and has spent the last 6 years working in the Search sector. Before joining FWB Park Brown as a Director in their Edinburgh Office, Michael was Business Manager for a global recruitment plc before joining a boutique Executive Search Practice leading Searches for Senior Management, Board, NXD and interim roles across a range of sectors.
Michael also sits as a Non-Executive Director for national charity Apex Scotland as well as having recently been appointed to both CBI’s Under 35 Network for Scotland and CBIs UK Under 35 Committee.
Philip has worked with Apex Scotland since 1997. A qualified accountant, he had worked in the public sector with Fife and West Lothian Councils and in the private sector with Fife Chamber of Commerce, and accountancy firm Deloitte’s, before joining Apex.
